On Wednesday, June 10, 2009, 10 Proctor and Gamble employees donned in their red shirts arrived at Maynard Cemetery to plant 300 cedar trees. This "Day of Caring" occurs every two years and takes six months to plan. Many non-profit organizations in Leeds and Grenville submitted their applications to ask for crews (men and women) to work on various projects

During the day of caring Kevin Urquhart (right) was busy digging the hole while Kim Hurlbut (left) added a growing agent and Cindy Rupert placed the cedar. Once Linda Hill watered the cedar in the hole, Dave (grumpy) Rupert replaced the soil and secured the tree. In the background, Doug Barton ensures the workers have what is needed to finish the job.

Proctor and Gamble employee Robert Hyde pushes a wheelbarrow of cedars to the East tree line of the Maynard Cemetery during "A Day of Caring". Throughout the day, Robert and nine other workers provided the manpower with the planting initiative.

The Cemetery Board of Directors appreciates the efforts that Proctor and Gamble puts into this "A Day of Caring".
